Parents & Prams August: Brilliant Blooms

Brilliant Blooms is a playful, sensory art experience designed for little artists aged 0–5 and their caregivers.

Using vibrant oil pastels on black paper, children will create striking floral artworks inspired by real blooms and Neil Degney's BLOOM exhibition. Through hands-on exploration, they'll observe colour, shape and texture while building confidence in mark-making and creative expression.

Activities include drawing flowers from observation, scratch art for revealing hidden colours, and optional sensory play with petals—smelling, touching and exploring nature up close. This engaging session encourages curiosity, imagination and meaningful carer–child connection through art and discovery.
