Native Flower Crowns & Botanical Creations

Celebrate the beauty of the Redlands Coast and the spirit of Country in this immersive native floral workshop led by Nadine McDonald-Dowd of Blak Botanics.

Blak Botanics is a First Nations–led floristry practice that celebrates the beauty and diversity of flora native to this country. For generations, native plants have carried story, culture, and knowledge - shaping how moments are marked, gatherings are honoured, and connections to Country are expressed. Guided by Nadine's knowledge and gentle teaching style, you'll work with foraged and sustainably sourced native materials inspired by the Redlands Coast, learning how to build a natural base before weaving in native blooms and botanicals.

Participants can choose to create a flower crown, table decoration, or small wreath, each piece shaped with intention and care. This is a slow, mindful making process - where each stem tells a story and every creation becomes a personal expression of connection to land, culture, and creativity.

As part of Redlands Coast AdventureFest, this workshop offers a meaningful way to experience the region through native flora, shared stories, and hands-on making.
