Looking for an exciting and inclusive school holiday experience? The Blue Tongue Squad Holiday Program offers two weeks of adventure, creativity, friendship and fun for young people aged 13–16 with disability.

Designed to build confidence, social connection and independence, the fully supported program features a diverse range of engaging activities across South East Queensland. Participants can explore beautiful local destinations, take part in outdoor adventures, enjoy hands-on science and sensory experiments, discover geocaching and treasure hunts, get creative with arts and crafts, and make lasting friendships along the way.

Highlights include a day trip to Coochiemudlo Island, bushwalks, team challenges, creative workshops and plenty of opportunities to try new experiences in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.

Whether attending for a single day or the full program, every participant is encouraged to connect, explore and create unforgettable holiday memories.

  • Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia)
  • Caters for people who are deaf or have hearing loss.
  • Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
  • Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
  • Caters for people with high support needs who travel with a support person.
