Australia's largest gathering of artists and performers, the Woodford Folk Festival is a six-day celebration of music, culture, creativity and community, held each year at Woodfordia, a beautiful parkland setting just one hour north of Brisbane.
Across six unforgettable days and nights, more than 450 acts appear throughout the festival's many venues, laneways and outdoor spaces. The diverse programme brings together acclaimed international artists, celebrated Australian performers and emerging talent across music, dance, cabaret, circus, comedy, theatre and visual arts.
Visitors can take part in workshops, conversations and thought-provoking forums, discover street theatre and films, explore an entire Children's Festival, and experience powerful ceremonies and special presentations. The festival culminates on New Year's Day with a spectacular fire event created especially for Woodfordia.
Beyond the stages, Woodford offers exceptional food, unexpected encounters and the freedom to discover something new around every corner. People of all ages and backgrounds come together to create a welcoming temporary village, united by curiosity, creativity and a genuine sense of belonging.
On-site camping is part of the Woodford experience, with options including general and powered camping, ready-made tents and glamping accommodation.
As festival patrons often say "It feels like a family" and "There's nothing else like it in the world."
