The Churn Room is a unique creative hub in the historic Dayboro Butter Factory, featuring an artisan store, two gallery spaces and workshop area.
Artisan Store
The ground floor showcases high-quality handmade gifts, jewellery, wearables and home décor by local makers with a commitment to sustainable, ethical craft. More like a collective than a traditional shop, the person who greets you is one of the artisans themselves—ready to share the stories behind their work.
Gallery Spaces
Upstairs, the Mezzanine Gallery—with its high ceilings and industrial character—hosts regular group and solo exhibitions from artists across the region and beyond.
On the ground floor, The Little Room, once a butter factory cold room, offers an intimate setting for close viewing. Exhibiting artists are often onsite, and the public is welcome at our exhibition openings, creating a welcoming gallery experience.
Workshops
The workshop area up-stairs connects you directly with creative skills and craftsmanship. Guest and in-house artisans teach small-group classes—ranging from jewellery and leatherwork to paper craft and painting and more—where you can learn traditional techniques and make pieces you'll be proud to use or gift. All materials are included.
Location
You'll find them on Dayboro's main street, through and behind Silverwood Café. Only an hour northwest of Brisbane, Dayboro is a charming country town dotted with cafés, eateries and historic features.
